Lockdown Blog: Day LXXX

For my last morning in our current house, I was awake far too early. The removal company was due to arrive just after eight, so I was up and ready the wrong side of seven.

After packing our overnight bags up and loading the final couple of things to avoid packing in our car, the removal company arrived and set about packing up our possessions.

As you can probably imagine, they were quickly at work boxing and wrapping, and before I knew it the house was full of boxes ready to be loaded into the van. By noon, they had almost everything packed away, and a van load of stuff. Tomorrow they will load the remaining furniture (mainly the larger furniture and fridge).

After stopping by Sarah’s parents for a quick au revoir before making our way to my parents house. From tonight we are staying with them, and we were soon settled into the house (me returning, Sarah for the first time).

Dinner this evening was provided by my dad, making salmon en croute with homemade cauliflower cheese. It was delicious, and hopefully a sign of things to come (…).

This evening we are watching a little TV, before an early night. Tomorrow I have to be back to the house by eight to let the removal people back in to finish the job. Tomorrow will be a big day, and we might have a little celebration tomorrow evening, but I don’t want to be getting ahead of myself…
